The facilities provided on board this royal train of Karnataka, The Golden Chariot are:-Cabin Coaches
The coaches of this train have been named after the royal dynasties who had once ruled Karnataka - Kadamba, Hoysala, Rastrakota, Chalukya, Ganga, Bhahamani, Adhilshahi, Sangama, Shathavashna, Vijayanagar and Yudukula. Each and every coach of the train echoes the ever lasting memories of the royal dynasties and their glory. The intricately carved ceilings, furniture of the interiors, are all are a reminiscent of the marvellous Mysore and Hoysala architecture. The facilities of these luxurious coaches include fully air-conditioned cabins, 17 double bed cabins, 26 twin beds and another cabin for the physically challenged. The amenities include LCD television, DVD player, writing desk, 6 satellite channels, a wardrobe, and also a private bathroom with accessories.
The Two Restaurants - Nala and Ruchi
The two restaurants of the Golden Chariot are decked up royally. The interiors epitomize the aesthetics of the Hampi and Halebid form of architecture. The restaurant Nala has been named after a king, who was also a legendary chef from the ancient times of the Mahabharata and the name Ruchi means ‘fine taste' and is derived from the Sanskrit language. These two restaurants are surely a gourmet’s delight and serves the vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian cuisine.The Lounge Bar - Madira
Aptly named,Madira,the name means the drink of the Gods,in the Hindu mythology. The Madira bar of Deccan Chariot is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It serves both, Indian as well as imported wine and liquors. The bar interiors are festooned with works of art, that imitate the Mysore Palace interiors.Gym Coach
The gym coach of the golden Chariot is very well equipped with two massage rooms and a spacious gymnasium. It has all the modern workout equipments, so you can flex those muscles!
